Description:
This Porsche 356 Speedster replica was assembled under previous ownership and spent time in California before being acquired by the current owner approximately two years ago. It is powered by an air-cooled 1.6L flat-four linked to a four-speed manual transaxle and fitted with a dual Kadron-style carburetor kit. The fiberglass body is finished in silver with a black soft top, boot cover, side curtains, and tonneau cover over black upholstery. Additional details include 15 chrome steel wheels, front disc brakes, a banjo-style steering wheel, and a Sony head unit. This Speedster replica is now offered on dealer consignment with a Florida title listing it as a 1965 Volkswagen.
Interior:
The low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black upholstery that extends to the dashboard pad, door panels, and rear parcel shelf. Black carpets are protected by floormats with embroidered Porsche crests, while additional appointments include lap belts, a passenger grab handle, and a Sony CD stereo with Bluetooth capability. The banjo-style steering wheel wears a Porsche-crest horn button and frames a central tachometer flanked by a 200-km/h speedometer and a combination gauge for fuel level and oil temperature.
Exterior:
The fiberglass body is finished in silver and fitted over a shortened Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Exterior details include a black soft top, boot cover, side curtains, and tonneau cover as well as gold-finished Porsche 1600 Super badging, teardrop taillights, a reproduction Reutter badge on the right fender, and body-color bumpers with impact strips.
Drivetrain:
The air-cooled 1.6L flat-four is fitted with a dual Kadron-style carburetor kit. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Chrome 15 steel wheels are mounted with a mixed set of 165/80 tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
