Introduced in 1994, the fourth-gen Mustang featured a sleeker and more aerodynamic exterior, taking design inspiration from classic Mustangs while embracing a contemporary look. It retained the distinctive long hood and short deck proportions that are synonymous with the Mustang.

Under the hood, the fourth-gen Mustang offered a range of engine options, including a 3.8-liter V6 and various V8 engines, with the 4.6-liter modular V8 becoming the flagship powerplant for the Mustang GT.

In 1999, Ford introduced the Mustang SVT Cobra, a high-performance variant developed by their Special Vehicle Team (SVT). The SVT Cobra featured a supercharged 4.6-liter V8 engine, delivering impressive horsepower and torque.

The fourth-gen Mustang's successful run set the stage for the highly anticipated and successful fifth generation, which was introduced in 2005 and further elevated the Mustang's performance and style for the modern era.
