2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon The Dodge Demon, officially known as the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, is a high-performance variant of the Dodge Challenger produced by Dodge, a division of Stellantis (formerly part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). Introduced for the 2018 model year, the Demon was designed to be the most powerful and fastest production muscle car ever built.

The Demon was born out of the Challenger Hellcat's success, which featured a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine producing 707 horsepower. The Demon takes that power to another level, thanks to extensive engine modifications, increased boost pressure, and unique fuel delivery system.

Equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine producing a jaw-dropping 808 horsepower on regular pump gasoline, or 840 horsepower on race fuel, the Demon holds the distinction of being the first production car to lift its front wheels off the ground during acceleration. This remarkable feat earned it the title of the fastest production car in the quarter-mile drag race, completing it in just over 9 seconds.

To handle this tremendous power, the Demon came with various performance upgrades, including a specialized suspension setup, wide drag radials, and an advanced torque reserve system to maximize launch traction.

In an effort to reduce weight, the Demon was sold as a single-seat configuration, with the option to add a passenger seat and rear seats for a nominal cost.

The limited-production Dodge Demon was celebrated for its record-breaking performance, bold styling, and its dedication to delivering the ultimate drag racing experience in a street-legal package.

Production of the Dodge Demon concluded in 2018, with a total production of approximately 3,300 units, making it a highly coveted and collectible muscle car among automotive enthusiasts.
