1956 FORD VICTORIA COUPE

This 1956 Ford Victoria was picked up by a sports car enthusiast, with the idea of restoring her and having a large, classic 50's era driver as part of his collection. As is so often the case, life got in the way and the car got shifted from his shop to his home garage and eventually to a friend's yard. After several years he's realized he's not getting to her anytime soon, if at all and it's time to send her on to a new home so someone else can fulfill that dream. Someone else had already begun to work on her and customize a bit with shaved door handles and trunk lock. They had also done some tuck n roll interior bits and replaced the engine with a late 60's era (the owner thinks it's a 69) Ford 302 engine, with 4 barrel carb, headers, dual exhaust and cherry bomb mufflers. She has some great lines and if time were no issue for me and she was mine, I'd paint her hot rod semi flat black, paint the wheels red and get some new wide whites, have a local pinstripe artist do up some cool red based pinstriping and just drive her to cruise nights, kar kulture events, cars n coffees, etc. Just have fun with her. The 302 fires right up and runs strong, doesn't over heat. The auto transmission shifts as it should and the brakes work. I couldn't take her for a drive as she's uninsured/unregistered. There are 95,000 miles on the odometer, true mileage is completely unknown. Take a little time and make sure she's safe to get out and drive and enjoy her. This is a project car and has some parts kicking around in boxes, some door handles, trim pieces. She will need the headlight buckets, the glass on the doors is cracked, there is some minor rust through in the trunk and along the passenger door sill. The rear most rockers/valance panels (behind the wheel wells) have both been patched and have some mud in them and the left rear wheel well has been operated on with the bondo wand too. There are no door cards, the rear seat is there but needs cushioning, the back seat panel cards and arm rests are there and may very well be savable/usable once cleaned up and the front seat the same. The worst area is the very front most cross-member, it is rotted in the center, but, if going the rat rod route, clear out the rot and weld er up. A couple of the body mounts are bad too, but they're readily available from several online sources, the door bottoms have some perforation as well. Overall, she runs and drives, is fairly solid and could easily be made into that cool rat rod mentioned above. If you're looking for a restoration base, I've seen MUCH worse been brought back and made utterly beautiful. She is being sold on a CT Q1/Bill of Sale only. Asking price is $4200.
