This Grabber Orange 1970 Mach 1 features a host of welcome performance upgrades. Under the hood of this classic muscle car is Ford's powerfully famous 351 ""Cleveland"" V-8 that has been fitted with an Edelbrock aluminum intake topped with a Holley carburetor breathing through a chrome open-element air cleaner. Additionally, there is an upgraded ignition system and a set of Ford Performance aluminum valve covers. The battery had been relocated to the trunk for better weight distribution and allows more space in the clean engine bay. A new dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers makes this Mach 1 sound like the muscle car it is. The transmission has been upgraded as well to a 5-speed manual with Hurst shifter that delivers power to a 9-inch rear end.
The Mach 1 was always considered a good handling car and highly successful in Trans Am racing when modified new.
