This 1957 Ford Custom 300 wears the styling from Ford's complete '57 restyle a lower, wider body and the tailfins that marked the line's first year with that shape. The Custom 300 sat at the bottom of Ford's full-size lineup that year, a plain-trim car built with fewer comfort features than the costlier Fairlane line, which makes this one's transformation into a driver-focused build that much more of a departure from where it started. A handful of custom touches update the driving experience without straying from the car's traditional look: power windows, shaved door handles opened by an electronic popper system on a key fob, a Bluetooth-equipped radio, and a set of Dolphin gauges monitoring oil pressure, water temperature, and volts.
