Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is excited to present this 1966 Volkswagen Dune Buggy, finished in an unmistakable Red, White, and Blue exterior over a Black leather interior. With its open-air design, lightweight construction, and patriotic color scheme, this buggy delivers the fun-loving character that has made Volkswagen-based dune buggies popular for generations.
Power comes from a 1600cc engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the engine has been updated with a new carburetor and intake. The manual gearbox keeps the driving experience engaging, while power steering and power brakes add convenience behind the wheel.
The seller also states that the buggy has been fitted with aluminum wheels, a roll bar, and a bumper. These additions complement the open design and bold Red, White, and Blue presentation, giving this Volkswagen-based buggy a distinctive appearance from every angle.
Inside, the Black leather interior keeps things simple and purposeful. The open cockpit puts the focus on the driving experience, whether cruising through town, heading to a local show, or enjoying a sunny afternoon on the backroads.
With its 1600cc engine, 4-speed manual transmission, and seller-stated updates including a new carburetor, intake, aluminum wheels, roll bar, and bumper, this 1966 Volkswagen Dune Buggy combines classic VW character with unmistakable open-air style.
