The first generation of the C/K series is a range of trucks by GM for the 1960 through 1966, they would replace the dated Task Force generation. GMC would use 1000, 1500, 2500 and 3000 to differentiate between , , 1 and 1 ton variants. Also, in contrast to the Chevrolet cousin, GMC would offer two trim levels, a standard ""Deluxe"" trim and an upgrade ""Custom Cab"". This particular truck has the factory original automatic transmission mated to a brand new 283 small block pushing 280 HP. It has power brakes with front discs, new wood bed and chrome strips, new upholstery and carpet along with new tires and dual exhaust. This truck has a newer amateur paint job that looks decent but is a 20-footer. This is a very solid truck as we purchased it out of Arizona. It starts right up, shifts and goes down the road probably better than new at this point. Lights all seem to work, the underside is tidy as is the engine bay and super clean interior.
