1972 Chevrolet C10 For Sale
This 1972 Chevrolet C10 shortbed Fleetside sits on a 2002 Cadillac Escalade chassis, and the all-wheel-drive system came with it. Live AWD is an uncommon thing to find under a square-body-era pickup, and it sets this truck apart from the more familiar LS-swapped C10s that either retain the original frame or move to a two-wheel-drive donor. The body is finished in light green with a white cab roof and white hood stripes, topped by a steel cowl induction hood. The front end wears 1969-70 grille and park light treatment paired with 7-inch tri-bar headlights and Custom C10 fender badging. The truck shows 1,905 miles since the build was completed.
Power comes from a 6.0L LS V8 breathing through Speed Technologies long-tube headers, backed by a 4L60E four-speed automatic running an external cooler. Final drive is 3.73. The Escalade driveline was gone through end to end during the build. That work covered the cooling and induction side of the engine, the fuel delivery system from tank to filler, front wheel bearings and seals, rotors and dust shields, brake hydraulic hoses and a new master cylinder, parking brake shoes and cables, differential and axle housing covers, and the full steering and stabilizer linkage including tie rod ends, idler arm bracket, bushings, links, and both power steering pressure hoses. Braking is four-wheel disc with a drum-in-hat parking brake.
The truck rolls on 17x8 silver Rally wheels with derby-style center caps. Inside, the cabin is black throughout: low-back bucket seats on a console mount, retractable lap belts, molded carpet, door panels with armrests, bowtie sill plates, and a new dash pad. An Intellitronix digital cluster handles instrumentation, and steering is through a Speedway 30-inch tilt column with column shift and a GT Performance GT3 wheel on a polished GM hub. A vintage-style AM/FM head unit with Bluetooth sits in a chrome bezel, and the air conditioning is functional. Door glass and vent windows are green tint, with new weatherstrip, windowfelts, and windshield and rear glass gaskets installed during assembly.
The bed uses composite deck boards finished to look like woodgrain, separated by steel bed strips painted to match the body, with a roll pan and license lights below and a Chevrolet-lettered tailgate. Between the modern chassis underneath, the working climate control, and the Bluetooth audio, this is a C10 built to be driven regularly rather than trailered between shows.
