This 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible wears the two-tone body treatment that defines the C1's most recognizable early years, a red exterior with the signature cove panel finished in white. Nineteen fifty-seven was a landmark year for the Corvette, the first to offer Rochester fuel injection alongside the standard carbureted V8. This example runs the carbureted setup, paired with an automatic transmission, the more common and easier-to-live-with configuration that still delivers proper V8 character without the higher-maintenance demands of the fuel-injected cars.
Power goes back through a rear end geared at 3.55, a ratio that keeps the car responsive off the line while staying comfortable at cruising speed.
