This vehicle was purchased out of Southern California. The previous owner had it for nearly 10 years. He bought it in its current configuration and invested over $15,000 at TRE Motorsports to sort the car mechanically and make it California smog compliant. This is a well-executed tribute to a classic 1970s 911 RSR. It offers the long-hood look paired with the much-improved 3.2L engine and desirable G50 transaxle. The engine was rebuilt approximately 10,000 miles ago, and Raceware head studs were installed at that time. The G50 transmission was healthy and was cleaned, serviced, and refreshed during the engine work. Additional performance upgrades include a Steve Wong chipped DME and headers with a GT3-style exhaust. The suspension and braking systems have seen extensive upgrades, including custom-valved Bilstein HD shocks, rear coilover conversion, Elephant Racing PolyBronze bushings, Smart Racing adjustable sway bars with reinforced mounts, stainless steel brake lines, Hawk HPS pads, drilled and slotted rotors, and Motul 600 brake fluid. Cosmetically, the car presents very well, as shown in the video. The lightweight interior is inspired by 1970s 911 race cars and features handmade 911R-style bucket seats, an RSR-style low-pile carpet kit, lightweight materials throughout, custom basket-weave door cards with RS-style pulls, and a Retrosound vintage-style radio. Mechanically, the car runs and drives excellent. The ride is smooth yet sporty.
