Description:
This 1991 Maxton Rollerskate was repainted red in preparation for the sale and is powered by a 1.3-liter Mazda 13B Wankel rotary paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes a chrome roll bar, a black tonneau cover, front disc brakes, multi-point Simspon harnesses, and 13" Revolution alloy wheels.
Interior:
The cabin houses dual bucket seats trimmed in black cloth and vinyl. Appointments include multi-point Simpson harnesses, rocker switches for vehicle functions, and black carpets. A leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel with a Maxton center cap sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
Exterior:
The Rollerskate was assembled in Colorado and featured fiberglass bodywork styled by artist and designer Michael Mate mounted over a square tube chassis engineered by Ben van der Linden. This car is said to be the second of 51 examples. Four-spoke 13" Revolution wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires, and stopping power is provided by front discs with rear drums.
