Description:

If you're looking for a Nova that plays nice, look elsewhere. This '68 was built for people who don't flinch at serious power. It has an aggressive personality and a short fuse. It carries itself with the confidence of something that knows exactly what it can do, and it expects the driver to keep up. Nothing about the presentation is apologetic. This Nova weaponizes horsepower and is ready to make concrete a bad habit.

The exterior stays true to the clean, classic lines that made the first-generation Novas such great street fighters. The red finish lays down deep and glossy across straight metal, and the chrome trim tightens the look without adding noise. The hood was reshaped and finished by a professional body technician to clear the supercharger, and the work blends naturally into the car's overall presentation. Lightweight 15 inch Billet Specialties wheels complete the stance with skinny rubber up front and serious tire out back with beadlocks, all tucked neatly under the mini-tubbed quarters. It looks fast because it is fast, and it carries its aggression with purpose. No gimmicks, no shortcuts, just a clean, confident stance.

Power comes from a 572 cubic inch Dart Big M block topped with Pro-Filer aluminum heads and a polished Dyers 8-71 blower. The setup was dyno tuned to 1051 horsepower before being dialed back for street manners. Calling it street friendly is still stretching the truth. The hardware is all clean, polished, and well organized. Twin four barrels, quality plumbing, a stout fuel system, and a cooling system built for real load make it obvious this engine was assembled for performance.

Backing the big block is a 4L80E automatic with a TCI controller and fan-assisted cooler, sending power to a 9" rear in a fabricated housing with 4.10 gears and a Truetrac differential. CalTracs traction bars, fresh shocks, and upgraded suspension components keep the rear planted with far more composure than you would expect from a car pushing this level of power. Power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes give the car control and confidence. The stainless exhaust system was built using long-tube headers, an X-pipe, Pypes mufflers, and turndowns ahead of the rear axle, while 275mm Mickey Thompson E/T Streets help translate all that rowdy power into forward motion instead of smoke.

Inside, the Nova keeps its familiar layout, but everything is tuned toward purpose rather than nostalgia. A 6-point roll cage frames the cabin and immediately sets the tone, while the front bucket seats look deceptively factory until you notice the belts and how close the structure sits to the driver. The rear seat remains in place, although anyone choosing to sit back there should probably reconsider their priorities.. A column-mounted tach with shift light, auxiliary gauges, and the TCI controller give the driver clear command of what matters, while dash-mounted auxiliary switches handle the engine and transmission fans, with a center ignition kill switch standing guard. A Premier AM/FM/CD radio is fitted cleanly, even if it feels a bit optimistic in a car like this. A 3-spoke Grant steering wheel with red contrast stitching and a centering stripe allows the driver to tame this wild ride. The trunk follows the same formula. The aluminum fuel cell, Optima battery, wiring, and bracing are all arranged neatly with no wasted space.

Put it all together and this Nova doesn't just stand out, it stands its ground. It's loud where it counts and disciplined where it matters, built with real intent rather than flash. This is a 1968 Nova that feels dangerous in the right way, confident, sorted, and ready to go toe-to-toe with anything in its class. No hype, no excuses, just a car that knows exactly what it's there to do.
