The 1996 Chevy S-10 is a compact pickup truck with rugged body-on-frame design, which is a popular option for light-duty hauling and everyday driving. The second generation '96 model offered an improved suspension and better ride quality than earlier models.

This partially restored 2-owner Chevy S-10 Extended Cab has spent its life in Virginia and appears to have led a pampered existence. It is also somewhat of a rare model. The 4x4 S-10 is equipped with the ZR2 option package that fitted the chassis with Chevy's heavy-duty 'Wide Stance Suspension' set-up.
Striking Looks And Stance-
The factory Cherry Red finish is in very good condition and is accented by gray trim and ZR2 logos. The truck strikes a nice stance on the ZR2 suspension and 15" factory spoke wheels that mount GT Radial Savero HT-2 tires. A clean bed is fitted with a premium liner by Pendaliner.
Original Interior With Comfort Features-
The original Graphite cloth interior is in overall very good condition. (The upholstery of the driver seat shows some wear.) Comfort features include cold A/C (new components), reclining high-back bucket seats, rear jump seats, tinted windows and sliding rear cab window. Other features include cruise control, driver airbag, analog gauge package, power locks and a factory AM/FM/Cassette sound system. A new windshield has also been installed.
Power Of A V8 But From A V6-
The S-10 is powered by a 4.3L V6 in stock form that is fitted with throttle-body fuel injection. It recently had major service including a complete tune-up, EGR valve, alternator, battery and radiator. The V6 is backed by a rebuilt 4-speed/OD automatic, 4x4 electronic transfer case/hubs and differentials with 3.73.1 gearing.
Heavy Duty Suspension-
The solid chassis is equipped with power steering and ABS power disc/drum brakes (new components), HD suspension, skid plate and 2" hitch receiver.
