1996 JAGUAR XJS CELEBRATION EDITION CONVERTIBLE

1996 Jaguar XJS Roadster - Celebration Edition This Carnival Red Mica beauty originally sold in Dallas, TX, before being purchased by owner 2 in 2000 and moving the car to Palm Desert CA. He owned the car for 20 years and kept the car in meticulous condition. In 2000 the family moved to Maine and decided to sell her rather than submit her to the road conditions in ME. In the second owner's tenure, she was repainted due to some paint fading from the southern California sun. Just prior to selling her two and a half years ago, a whole slew of work was performed on her including new battery, complete brake system flush, full body and chassis lube, the diamond cut wheels (a Celebration Edition specific) were refinished, AC check and charge, new coils, new valve cover gasket, radiator hoses with flush and fluid, new rotors and pads, new window switch, sway bar bushings, and she was professionally detailed inside and out. The current owner, a long time Jaguar Club member here in CT was shopping for a red XJS and saw this beauty and immediately bought her. With some life changes taking place, he's decided to find her a new home after only owning her for about 2.5 years. As a Celebration Edition she has the diamond turned 16" aluminum wheels, wood trimmed steering wheel and Jaguar Leaper embossed leather seats. As mentioned she's painted in Carnival Red and the leather interior is Coffee. The AJ16 inline 6 cylinder is generally considered a bullet proof engine and although not putting out the torque of the V12, is easily strong enough to propel this awesome GT car at speeds exceeding the legal limit. 237 HP/285 lb ft of torque backed by a 4 speed automatic transmission move her with the Grace, Space and Pace Jaguar cars were sold with since inception. She starts, runs and drives like a new car, quite better than some. All the usual Jaguar luxury items come with her too, from the most basic such as power steering and 4 wheel power disc brakes, to heated, 6 way power seats, power windows, mirrors and antenna, cruise control, AC, power top, tilt wheel, 6 disc CD changer, etc. Full leather interior, burl-wood inlays, plush carpeted mats (she comes with custom fit Coco mats as well), one rides in typical Jaguar comfort. With only 58,000 miles on the odometer, the current owner has added just about 2000 miles since he bought her and has taken 2nd place at a Jaguar sanctioned concours last year. This car is ready to be enjoyed right now, as she is, totally turn key. Take her out on beautiful days with the top down, head out for a scenic drive, stop by a restaurant or vineyard and do so in classic Jaguar style. The asking price is $20,000 Any questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a time to see her or to simply make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you for the interest.
