A magnificent find sitting in the garage of the original owner’s home 20 years after his passing. The recent settling of the Owner’s Estate has released this incredible survivor Olds into the sunlight it had not seen in many years.
This 3rd Generation Olds 98 was redesigned in 1960 to have a much sleeker Grill and flatter rear trunk line that significantly improved the demand for the 60 Model. Still wearing its original factory seat covers, near mint headliner, perfect uncracked steering wheel, original spare tire and jack and the great surprise was finding the protecto-plate with the original owner’s name stamped on it after looking through all the vintage items in the Glove box.
Showing only 68,000 miles, the original 371 Cubic engine fired up after a fluids change and fuel line flush. The Dynamic 88 came standard with the smooth running 371 rated at 240 horsepower.
The 3 speed transmission after servicing feels strong and shifts smooth as silk and is riding on new 14” radials on the original rims with hubcaps.
It’s a survivor car needing new carpeting and some minor rust repair on the front fenders which if we get to it we will fix before selling.
