CONDITION
This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 230 S presents as a solid and complete example of a classic W111 "Heckflosse" sedan. The car runs, drives, and is periodically exercised to keep it in mechanical order. It retains a very good exterior appearance, with excellent chrome, quarter panels, hood, and trunk. The cream paint still shows well, and the brown interior remains in excellent condition, with a well-preserved dash, seats, and door panels. Mechanically, the vehicle would benefit from service-specifically a carburetor rebuild, hose replacement, and repair of one leaking brake line. The floor pan will require rebuilding, as the seatbelt mounting point has pulled through the floor. Despite these needs, the car's overall structure, trim, and interior components make it ideal for either a full restoration or use as a valuable parts donor. The new tires and battery make it easy to move and display. A beautiful example of Mercedes engineering with timeless lines and great restoration potential.
