On Saturday, September 14, in Gardena, California, the Original Venice Crew of Shelby American will be hosting a gathering of automotive titans at their shop starting a 4:30 p.m. Most often, it is the cars that get the limelight at car shows while their builders are off stage right. However, this Saturday afternoon, the legendary men behind five of the most iconic race cars of all time will be sitting together reminiscing about the good ol days of racing. Were hosting a celebration like none other, said Jim Marietta, CEO of the Original Venice Crew. Some events have featured the cars without the people who worked on and built these cars, while others have invited some drivers and fabricators but not the cars. For the first time, the machines and men will share the stage to tell the unique story of Shelby American in the 1960s.
